BIO: Kevin is one of the most sought after visual designers in the pageantry activity, distinguishing himself as a band director with unusual versatility toward marching band and musical visual art. He has been a music educator, guard instructor, visual design coordinator, visual clinician and adjudicator for over twenty years.

Kevin received his Bachelor of Arts in Music Education with a minor in Trumpet studies from the University of Oklahoma, studying with Gene Thrailkill, William Wakefield and Roland Barrett. He was a full-time band director in Texas for 16 years (1990-2006), most recently serving as Associate Director of Bands and Visual Coordinator at Ronald Reagan High School in San Antonio. He has received numerous superior concert band ratings as a band director.

His collaborative efforts with many high school bands and color guards throughout the country have helped mentor programs toward higher standards and establish him as one of the respected designers of recent years. He has designed for many organizations who have received numerous Bands of America Regional and Grand National Captions and awards. Groups with which he has worked have been the Texas State Marching Band champions and Bands of America Grand National Finalists, including Ronald Reagan High School from 2001-2006 and Westfield High School from 2006-2007.
In the drum corps activity, Kevin also served as Visual Coordinator Spirit Drum & Bugle Corps and was Program Consultant for the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps. He is also an adjudicator for Drum Corps International, Bands of America and Winter Guard International.

Kevin is currently a full-time show and drill designer at KNIX Designs, working for many top marching band programs in Texas, Georgia, Florida, Ohio, Kansas and Oklahoma. He currently resides in San Antonio, Texas where he serves as Visual Coordinator for the internationally-award winning Harrison High School Band program from Cobb County, Georgia and William Mason High School in Mason, Ohio.

Two of the high schools that Kevin works with, William Mason High School (OH) and Claudia Taylor Johnson High School (TX), were among the 12 finalists at the Bands of America Grand National Championships in Indianapolis.
