June 25, 2012
Colt Cadets Staff
With the annual Dubuque Summer Premiere and a DCI show in the bag, the Colt Cadets are thrilled as ever to take their 2012 program on the road. With three shows in the upcoming week, the members and staff look forward to expanding upon what has already been deemed by one DCI judge as "The Colt Cadets' best start to a season ever!"

Members of the Colt Cadets brass line were exceptionally privileged this past weekend, being given the opportunity to work with Terry White, brass arranger of their 2012 show entitled, "Alive!" Terry flew from Maine to spend four days with the group and to team up with brass caption head Kent Crawford in making final tweaks to the brass book.

Kent Crawford, Colt Cadets Brass Caption Head, was thrilled with Terry's visit: "Terry is absolutely fantastic to work with, an all around great guy who is very generous with his time and thoughts, pressures no one, but at the same time knows how to take things up to the next level. He is a perfect fit with this staff, and an incredible asset to the Colt Cadets."

Other brass staff members felt similarly. "We are extremely lucky to have Terry on our side. He's simply a great music educator and the members absolutely loved him. His four days with the group has brought tremendous improvement for the brass line, as well as the drum corps as a whole," reflected Andy Eaton, Colts/Colt Cadets Mellophone Technician.

The Colt Cadets continue their competitive season this Thursday, June 28 in Merrillville, Indiana, Saturday June 30th in Michigan City, Indiana, and Sunday July 1st in Muscatine, Iowa.
