Summer playing opportunities are very important for the continued development and future success of band students. The Colts offer this program to provide a summer performance opportunity for tri-state area instrumental students. The Colts Summer Band is open to all interested students who are currently in a 5-8 grade school band. This four-week program will include a weekly small group lesson and a performance ensemble three days per week, with a public concert at the end! The program will run from June 12July 5. Lessons will be taught before and after the ensemble rehearsal, which runs from 11 a.m.-Noon on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during these dates at Roosevelt Middle School. We have scheduled one public performance at the end of the session on July 5 at 7:30 p.m. at Eagle Point Park with the Colt Cadets. We are pleased to offer two instructors to further meet the educational interests of the students enrolled. The participation fee is $40. Any student whose family qualifies for Free and Reduced Lunch programs at school will receive an automatic $30 scholarship (Only $10 fee). This fee is payable in advance or at the first lesson. Please email colts@colts.org or call the Colts Office (563-582-4872) for a registration form. Registrations submitted by May 1 will have priority of scheduling. We hope you take advantage of this valuable opportunity to keep your students playing over the summer! Contact Mr. Enabnit, Mr. Norman, or the Colts office with any questions.
