Hello Color Guard Auditonees!
Thank you for expressing interest in the 2012 Colts Color Guard! Below you will find information regarding various aspects of the upcoming auditon camps.
What to wear...
Friday night, you may wear regular rehearsal clothing. You will need to wear BLACK comfortable, form fitting clothing on Saturday and Sunday. Your clothes must allow you to have maximum flexibility and your feet and ankles must be able to be seen. You will want comfortable shoes for the rest of the day. Also, please do not have any loose jewelry, such as bracelets, necklaces, or rings and to all GIRLS, your hair must be pulled back.
What to expect...
We will begin each day with a movement class. You will learn several across the floors, experience a basic technique block, and a short dance routine. For flag technique, make sure you are comfortable with basic exercises such as drop spins, peggy spins, cones, and pull hits/flips. Those interested in weapon (rifle or sabre) will need to bring their own if possible. Some will be provided, but not many. There will also be choreographed routines for equipment.
Most importantly, come with a great attitude and be ready to learn! This weekend should be an enjoyable experience, so relax and have fun. Remember that this is a PERFORMANCE activity and you must be able to perform FULL OUT.
