Brassline Exercises

2013 Brassline Exercises

Welcome Prospective Brass Members!

We are asking you to all prepare the same material to observe your level of musicianship and how well you practice. We will ask you to play a few exercises from our technique book while marking time. (We will define our visual technique at camp.)

If you will be auditioning with a non-drum corps instrument (ie: flute, saxophone, trombone, etc.), we ask that you prepare a 1:00-2:00 minute piece to demonstrate your skills. We will also have you perform the exercises as discussed above.

Remember that this is not something to stress about...rather something to be excited about! You have a chance to show off individually for your instructors and receive individual instructions from some very talented musicians and educators. We want to be impressed! So you should prepare accordingly
